Discover one of the most fascinating stretches of coastline in western Sicily aboard a low-impact hybrid boat, designed to let you experience the sea in an authentic and sustainable way. This boat tour from Trapani takes you along the Zingaro Nature Reserve, through unspoilt coves, dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters, all the way to the iconic Faraglioni of Scopello. The experience is completed with a stop in Castellammare del Golfo and several moments dedicated to swimming and snorkeling, allowing you to enjoy the Sicilian sea at a relaxed pace.
Itinerary – Zingaro, Scopello and Castellammare del Golfo boat trip:
- We will meet at 09:00am at the port of Trapani, at Viale Regina Elena, 91100 Trapani (TP), in front of the Harbor Master’s Office. After a briefing with the crew, we set sail southward, leaving the city behind and navigating along an increasingly wild and natural coastline.
- The first stop is in one of the most iconic coves of the Zingaro Nature Reserve. Once anchored at Cala dell’Uzzo, you will have the chance to dive into exceptionally clear waters, rich in marine life and ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Just a few meters away lies the Grotta degli Innamorati, a natural cave hiding a small beach inside, reachable by swimming, where light reflections create a truly magical atmosphere. During this stop, you can snorkel and explore the area in complete relaxation.
- The navigation then continues towards Cala del Leone, a hidden cove sheltered by high surrounding cliffs. Nearby, you will visit the Blue Cave, a natural cavity known for its luminous reflections on the water. Swimming and snorkeling are also possible in this area.
- The tour then reaches Scopello, one of the symbolic places of western Sicily. The stop takes place in front of the historic Tonnara and the famous Faraglioni of Scopello, impressive rock stacks rising from the sea. Here, a swimming stop is planned, with time to swim and snorkel.
- Leaving Scopello behind, the boat heads towards the port of Castellammare del Golfo. Once docked, there will be a stop on land of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which you can stroll through the streets of the seaside village, visit the historic center, or enjoy a lunch break.
- In the afternoon, navigation resumes towards Cala Bianca, where a stop is scheduled for swimming and snorkeling.
- The last swimming stop takes place at Cala Rossa, known for the striking color contrasts between the cliffs and the sea. Here too, you can swim and snorkel before starting the return navigation.
- After the final stop, we bid farewell to the Zingaro Nature Reserve and the Scopello area and head back to the port of Trapani, with arrival expected in the late afternoon, after approximately 9 hours at sea.
