Sunset cruise to the Îles de Lérins program:
- Arrive 30 minutes before departure at the “Black Tenders” nautical base located on the beach at Port du Béal, 110 Boulevard du Midi Louise Moreau, 06150 Cannes, France.
- Begin your adventure departing from the port of Cannes aboard a dinghy boat. Glide through the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea towards the enchanting Îles de Lérins, a small but captivating archipelago rich in natural beauty and historical significance. The two most prominent islands, Île Sainte Marguerite and Île Saint Honorat, will be the main highlights of the tour.
- Your first destination is Île Sainte Marguerite, the largest island of the archipelago. Known for its pristine landscapes, white sandy beaches, and picturesque trails, it offers a serene escape from the city’s bustle. From the sea, you’ll admire the impressive Fort Royal, a historic fortress famed as the prison of the legendary “Man in the Iron Mask.” This mysterious figure’s story, filled with intrigue and speculation, continues to captivate imaginations to this day.
- Just off the island, you’ll find the Mediterranean’s first underwater ecomuseum, a unique attraction accessible by snorkeling. In this shallow marine area, you’ll have the chance to explore six monumental 3D portraits by artist Jason deCaires Taylor, anchored to the lagoon floor. These fascinating underwater sculptures are best enjoyed during the summer season when snorkeling opportunities abound.
- Next, sail toward Île Saint Honorat, where you’ll be greeted by the striking Benedictine monastery. This majestic structure harmonizes beautifully with the lush greenery and the warm hues of the sunset reflecting off the sea. The island is home to a small community of Cistercian monks who dedicate their lives to prayer and craftsmanship. They produce exceptional wine, lavender oil, honey, and Lérina, a traditional herbal liqueur. The island exudes an atmosphere of peace and spirituality, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
- After approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, the tour concludes with your return to Port du Béal.

**Please note that the itinerary may vary depending on weather and sea conditions. Should it be impractical to reach the Îles de Lérins, it is possible to cancel the tour and receive a full refund. However, we definitely recommend going anyway, because we will visit other points of interest such as the incredible rock formations of the Massif de l’Estérel and the many seaside villages along the Côte d’Azur.
