Enjoy several opportunities to swim and snorkel, a delicious dinner cooked on board, but, above all, enjoy the stunning view of the Santorini sunset.
Tour program of the Santorini sunset cruise:
Pick-up from your hotel in Santorini and transfer to Vlychada bay, where you will board a luxurious double-decker catamaran with expert captain and crew.
The first stop will be at the famous Red Beach, in the village of Akrotiri, one of the most iconic beaches in Santorini; and the reason for its popularity is its color. The red lava cliffs and sands face on to clear blue waters, providing an idyllic scene. Here you will have 30 minutes to swim and snorkel, as well as some amazing photo opportunities.
The second stop will be in the secluded area of Mesa Pigadia and White Beach, a stretch of black pebbles enclosed by giant cliffs made up of beautiful white and pastel colors. The waters here are especially clear and here you will have a second stop for and snorkeling. In the meantime, the crew will prepare for you a delicious BBQ dinner featuring traditional dishes and Greek appetizers, with complimentary drinks.
As the tour continues you will admire Aspronisi, the old Venetian Lighthouse, the Indian Rock, and the Black Mountain, black lava rocks which are prehistoric creations with surreal shapes.
The next stop will be at Hot Springs, under the shadow of the volcano. Here the temperature of the water is approximately 35 degrees Celsius and contains sulfur, iron and other elements which are truly beneficial for the skin. Enjoy swimming, while feeling the cold and warm currents, a natural spa for all ages.
After swimming at the Hot Springs, the catamaran will sail to the Caldera and Oia. With your favourite drink at hand and your camera ready to live the experience that you were waiting for: as the sun begins to set, the cascade of Oia whitewashed houses, dotted with windmills and blue dome churches will start to shine with a golden glare from the falling sun.
Our experience will end in Ammoudi Bay, right below Oia. From here the driver will take you back to your hotel.
*Hot Springs: It is good to know that catamarans/yachts stop 50m away from the warm sulfuric water of the Hot Springs bay. The temperature in the Hot Springs area is up to 4°C warmer than the open water. Dark color swimwear recommended.
**All yachts and boats in Greece cannot moor directly on the beach. We have selected the best spots for swimming and snorkeling, the closest possible to the beach.
The price includes: Hotel pick-up and drop-off – English speaking crew – Dinner with local dishes – Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages – Equipment for snorkeling – Towels.

Santorini is an island of volcanic origin and that’s exactly what gives its beaches their particular charm. Imagine turquoise waters, imposing cliffs and colorful sand: welcome to the extraordinary Santorini. If you want to know which are the most beautiful beaches of the island, the ones not to be missed, join a boat tour that will show you the most beautiful and iconic places of Santorini during the sunset, when the colors of nature are even more suggestive.
Red Beach is a must-see during your holiday in Santorini: a small and wonderful beach of red and black sand that gets its color from volcanic lava. The bay offers a scenario to be seen at least once in life with the red of the coast diving into the crystal clear sea. Its shape, sheltered from the winds, makes it an ideal place for snorkeling, also thanks to its magnificent seabed.
But the colors in Santorini are a constant surprise, especially if you are on a sunset boat tour. In fact, after the Red Beach, you will be as much enchanted by the White Beach, a beautiful spot accessible only by sea. The White Beach, as its name suggests, is characterized by the white cliffs, the tall and jagged coasts, and by the white pebbles that mix with the dark sand. You’ll feel like living in a movie.
Another must-see beach in Santorini is the beach of Mesa Pigadia located in the area of the same name. Like the White Beach, Mesa Pigadia is less crowded with tourists, so that you can to enjoy it at its best. The sea here is particularly crystal-clear and the sand is covered by large dark pebbles. Mesa Pigadia is one of the wildest and most pristine beaches of Santorini and, for this reason, it is easily accessible only from the sea with a boat tour.
Finally in the top list of the best beaches in Santorini is the beach of Vlychada. Here we are on the south of the island, in a stretch of sea quite sheltered from the wind. Due to its lunar charm, the grey color and the wind-shaped coasts, Vlychada has conquered the nickname of “Moon beach”.
Santorini is the beautiful result of a violent volcanic eruption that marked the boundaries of the present-day island and gave it unique and particular features. Among these, one of the most characteristic places to swim in Santorini are the Hot Springs: a natural spa located right behind the volcano. Here the waters have a slightly higher temperature compared to the open sea (about 4°C higher) and the water has a rusty color, due to some substances, such as iron, present near the volcano. For this reason it is better to wear dark-colored swimsuits so as to prevent the strong color of the water from ruin them. Diving into the Hot Springs you will experience a feeling of well-being, given by the warmth and natural sulphurous waters of this incredible part of the island.
Santorini is the romantic island par excellence, but it is also the island that, unlike Mykonos, allows you to enjoy more relaxation, both as a couple and as a family, surrounded by the beauty of the natural landscape.
Among the things to do once you arrive in Santorini is definitely the boat trip to the Caldera to discover the best places of the island. The unique morphology of the island that develops on an ancient and partly submerged volcano offers superb views. Travelling by sea on a catamaran you can truly understand the history of Santorini and its particular shape, discover the beaches otherwise not accessible by land, swim in the Hot Springs and admire the surreal shapes and profiles of the Indian Rock and the Black Mountain.
Find time to admire the sunset in Santorini. Few places around the world offer such an exceptional and unmissable moment. If you have chosen to stay in Santorini plan a sunset cruise, you won’t be disappointed.
The village of Oia is a milestone in Santorini. Its architecture and the pure white color that sparkles in the middle of so much natural beauty create panoramas to admire and photograph during your visit to Santorini.
For archaeology lovers, the site of Akrotiri is worth a visit as it is one the most important of all Greece. The site hosts several findings of an ancient Minoan civilization, called precisely Akrotiri, buried by the eruption of the XVI century. Many scholars, fascinated by the history of the island and its findings, believed to be dealing of what remains of Atlantis, the submerged city told by Plato in his “Dialogues”.
Finally, after the sunsets, the sea and the architecture, do not forget to taste some local products such as the famous wine produced in Santorini. Here the viticulture has a long history as the primary agricultural product of all the Cyclades archipelago, especially for the white wines, which represent the greatest production. Famous is also the Vinsanto, sweet wine made with Assyrtico and Aidani, two native grape varieties of the island.
Oia is definitely the most photographed village of all Santorini. Hands up anyone who has never came across postcards and photographs of the island showing the white cube-shaped houses in Cycladic style and the blue domes typical of Oia. The Santorini sunset boat tour leaves just from Oia to discover the wonders of Santorini.
The Venetian castle of Agios Nikolaos is one of the points of the island to explore. Built in the 15th century when the island suffered the raids of pirate, the castle allowed to observe the island from a privileged point of view and to anticipate the enemy attack. This castle belonged to Venetian rulers and it is fair to assume that the residences inside were of considerable value. Today, unfortunately, most of the fortified settlements have collapsed into the sea after the devastating earthquake of 1956, but it remains a magnificent place from which you can admire the whole island.
Behind the village of Oia lies the small and charming bay of Ammoudi. The rocky coast, the crystal clear sea and the rich seabed make it a perfect place for diving and snorkeling. In the bay there are also many small restaurants where you can taste the local cuisine.
Strolling through the many alleys and stairs of the village of Oia will surprise you, and if you feel like walking you will discover fabulous views and landscapes, to say the least; you will discern picturesque corners among the white houses and you will be able to recognize the many small churches of the island and that stand out for their particular blue dome.
The sunset here is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why tourists from all over the world travel to Santorini. The colors of the island, the white houses, the colorful coasts and the turquoise sea are the ideal setting for an unforgettable sunset. It is not by chance that right before the sunset the island gets really crowded in its best points.
Watching the sunset from the center of the Caldera with a catamaran trip is the best option you can choose for your photos at sunset. You will admire the houses of Oia shining, the blue domes fading into the sunset and the sea slowly changing color. The sea meeting the sky, the coasts taking the shades of the sunset, orange, pink, red and all the colors that have made this particular sunset so famous…you will be able to see this from a privileged point of view with the guidance of an experienced crew, ready to show you the most beautiful aspects of the island.
If, instead, you are on the mainland, the ruins of the castle of Agios Nikolaos in Oia are hyped as one of the best places to watch the sunset. For this reason, do not expect to be alone: many will be meeting there when the sun is about to fall.
If you have the time and the chance to move around the island, you can see exceptional sunsets also from the towns of Fira, Imerovigli, Akrotiri and Pyrgos. The Akrotiri lighthouse, for example, in the southwest tip of the island, is a popular place to watch the sunset along with the ancient medieval castle.
The colour of the water is an intense orange, given by the substances present near the volcano such as iron. For this reason, avoid light-coloured costumes or costumes that you particularly care about that could absorb the strong colouring of these waters.
Yes, in case of bad weather/sea conditions the tour might be cancelled. In case of cancellation we are happy to offer our customers the choice of an alternative date or, in case of inability to rebook, the full refund.

This boat tour on a catamaran was just great. We sailed late-afternoon and and visited all the most beautiful spots of the coast. The staff left us a good amount of time to swim and snorkel and even cooked for us a typical greek dinner. Me and my wife had a wonderful time, really enjoyed.
