Tour program of the Santorini boat trip – Prime Experience:
Pick-up from you hotel in Santorini and transfer to Ammoudi bay, where you will meet the crew and board a luxurious double-deck catamaran, with only 14 people on board.
During the first part of the Santorini boat tour, we will sail inside the Caldera, to admire the iconic view of the villages of Fira, Oia and Imerovigli from the sea. Enjoy many opportunities to take beautiful pictures.
Next we will head to Hot Springs, close to the volcano, on the northeast side of Palea Kameni, famous for the warm springs that come from the bottom of the sea. Enjoy a swim session of approximately 30 minutes at the sulphureous waters that offer many healing effects.
After a healing mud bath we will sail towards Aspronisi with the old Venetian Lighthouse, and, once arrived at the southern tip of the island try to spot the Indian Rock, a distinctive rock formation that recalls the profile of an Indian.
The second stop for swimming will be at the secluded White Beach, with black pebbles on the shore and the white surrounding cliffs. It has crystalline waters and here, while you swim and snorkel, the crew will prepare for you a delicious barbecue lunch featuring traditional dishes, with wine, beer and soft drinks.
The last stop will be at the Red Beach, arguably one of the most popular and most beautiful beaches in Santorini; and the reason for its popularity is its color. Here you will have 30 minutes to swim and snorkel, which is highly recommended due to the interesting colors and rocks.
The tour will end in Vlychada port and from there the driver will drop you off at your hotel.
*Hot Springs: It is good to know that catamarans/yachts stop 50m away from the warm sulfuric water of the Hot Springs bay. The temperature in the Hot Springs area is up to 4°C warmer than the open water. Dark color swimwear recommended.
**All yachts and boats in Greece cannot moor directly on the beach. We have selected the best spots for swimming and snorkeling, the closest possible to the beach.
The price includes: Hotel pick-up and drop-off – English speaking crew – Lunch with local dishes – Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages – Equipment for snorkeling – Towels.
Don’t forget: Valid ID or passport – Sunscreen – Sun hat – Sunglasses – Camera.
Santorini is a beautiful island, which is able to offer unique panoramas to the world. Imagine bright turquoise-blue waters, imposing cliffs smoothed by the wind and sand by a thousand shades: this is the island of Santorini. If you want to discover the best swimming spots in Santorini, jump on our catamaran to explore the most beautiful beaches of the Greek island.
The most photographed and the most distinctive beach in Santorini is definitely Red Beach: from the sea you can admire the spectacle of the red cliff with its red and black sand diving into the turquoise sea. There are few other places in the world where you can find such a beautiful natural scenario. The particular colour of the beach is given by the volcanic configuration of the island and it attracts so many tourists every day. For this reason visiting Red Beach with a catamaran trip is the best choice to enjoy the view and the bay without too much chaos. The imposing red rocky coast will shelter you from the winds, snorkeling at this point of the island is a very recommended activity.
Accessible only by sea, the beautiful White Beach is a small gem that has conquered the hearts of many travelers in the last few years. The beach is small and topped by imposing white cliffs that reflect the sunlight increasing the sparkle of the crystal clear water. The sand is black, contrasting the white cliff and the blue sea and is partly covered by large white pebbles.
Another famous beach in Santorini is Vlychada, known for its unique “lunar” landscape. The beach is located in the southern part of the island and therefore it is more sheltered from the winds. The peculiarity of this beach that makes it one of the must-visit beaches in Santorini is its grey colour, which, together with the coasts shaped by the wind, earned it the nickname “Moon beach”.
Another noteworthy beach, especially if you are staying in Oia, is the small and charming stretch of sea in the bay of Ammoudi. The coast is rocky, the sea is transparent and the rich seabed makes it a perfect choice for diving and snorkeling.
Lastly, if you are choosing among the best beaches in Santorini, don’t forget the beach of Mesa Pigadia. Still not crowded with tourists, the beach remains very wild and perfect to enjoy a dip in Santorini. Precisely because of the low number of visitors, here the water is very clear. Mesa Pigadia is easily accessible only from the sea with a boat tour.
Travelling by boat along the Caldera in Santorini is certainly one of the best ways to get to know this thousand-year-old island born from a violent volcanic eruption. The way Santorini looks today is, in fact, the result of the explosive power of its volcano to the point that some scholars believe that Santorini could actually be Atlantis, the famous submerged city mentioned in the Greek literature. The Caldera is that stretch of land, located between the mouth of the volcano and Santorini, which collapsed during the eruption, covering itself with water.
That’s how the basin of the Caldera arose and right there, today spectacular cruises and excursions in catamaran are available for visitors. If you want to admire this landscape from the sea, to see the colors of the coasts changing before your eyes, to take pictures of the whitewashed villages with the blue domes of Santorini from a privileged perspective and, finally, if you want to dive into the most spectacular bays of Santorini, the day trip to the Caldera by boat is the most complete tour. Join us on this exciting journey through the villages of Fira, Imerovigli and Oia, with stops to swim in the natural pools of the Hot Springs or in front of the red coasts of Red Beach or the white ones of White Beach; you will admire rocky profiles that recall human ones such as Indian Rock or go past Black Mountain and take unique pictures.
Among the most fascinating swimming spots in Santorini are the Hot Springs. Hot Springs is a natural spa located just behind the volcano: a real tourist experience. The temperature of the water in this part of the Caldera is slightly higher compared to the open sea (about 4°C more) and it is of reddish rust color, due to some elements, such as iron and manganese, present near the volcano. Therefore it is advisable to wear dark colored swimsuits that will not absorb the intense color of the water. The therapeutic benefits of swimming near the Hot Springs are related to a sense of relaxation, cleansing the skin and relief from rheumatic pains.
The Prime Experience catamaran cruise in Santorini allows you to enjoy an exclusive tour with only 14 guests aboard a double deck catamaran. Perfect if you don’t like crowded groups and prefer to be pampered during the excursion being in good company, but without giving up your privacy. With the boat trip to Santorini - Prime Experience - you’ll have plenty of time to relax and discover the amazing island of Santorini by sea.
The colour of the water is an intense orange, given by the substances present near the volcano such as iron. For this reason, avoid light-coloured costumes or costumes that you particularly care about that could absorb the strong colouring of these waters.
Yes, in case of bad weather/sea conditions the tour might be cancelled. In case of cancellation we are happy to offer our customers the choice of an alternative date or, in case of inability to rebook, the full refund.

Truly fantastic experience on board this catamaran! Water was spectacular and we had many chances to swim. Good amount of time to enjoy food and the open bar was really appreciated!

Among all the tours we chose this one as it felt a bit more special as we were few people on board. From the first moment we felt very welcomed and made friends with other people from the US. Made several stops to swim and snorkel and I took sooo many pictures as the views were breathtaking! Well done from start to finish.
