One of Hvar’s surprisingly lesser discovered treasures is its southern shore, with plenty of beautiful bays, natural rock formations and hidden caves. On board of a motor boat with a small group of guests, choose to spend your day in the sun, discovering the hidden cove in Dubovica, cliff jumping at the Red Rocks, swimming in a clear blue sea and relaxing in the untouched nature of the Pakleni islands. This and so much more during our Red Rocks and Pakleni islands boat tour from Hvar.
Tour program of the boat trip to Pakleni islands and Red Rocks:
Meeting point in Hvar at Trg svetog Stjepana 38, where you will board a comfortable speedboat.
Our first destination will be the Borče Green Lagoon, probably the most beautiful bay on the south side of Hvar with crystal clear sea. Don’t miss the chance to throw some bread in the sea and watch shoal of fishes gather around the boat.
We continue for Dubovica, a picturesque bay on south side of Hvar, considered to be most beautiful beach on the island. On the right side of Dubovica bay is small hidden cave with 2 entrances, one under the sea level and second in the shallow sea. You can dive in or walk in this cave.
The next stop will be the sensational Red rocks, a natural phenomenon of vertically disintegrated reddish cliffs which steeply drop into the sea making a great scenery for breathtaking photos. Unique place for swimming underneath the rocks while the brave ones can take the chance to go cliff jumping.
After, we head to the Pakleni islands and cruise around the chain of islets famous for their untouched nature and crystal clear sea. We will stop in Palmižana bay, where you can get a taste of delicious local specialties at one of the restaurants, go for a cocktail at the popular Laganini beach bar or simply work on your tan; and at Mlini beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on Pakleni islands, where you can have the last swim of the day, before cruising back to Hvar town and enjoying the final views of the scenery and the sunset.
The tour will end in Hvar around 7:00pm.

The discovery boat tour from Hvar to the Red Rocks and Pakleni islands will be held on a comfortable motorboat with professional skipper. This boat tour allows you to enjoy the beauty of the Pakleni islands (Spalmadori islands in Italian) without the forced stress of mini island to island transfers. You can visit some of the most beautiful places near Hvar, Croatia, in total relaxation and guided by an experienced skipper who will make the most of your Pakleni day. The most fascinating bays, the most characteristic beaches, the uniqueness of the Red Rocks overlooking the sea, everything is included in this boat tour departing from Hvar. Don’t paddle in search of beaches, choose to visit the Pakleni islands without any worries: you can swim, snorkel, take fantastic photos and visit the most famous islands and, if you want, dive from the Red Rocks. Don’t worry, we will take care of the rest!
Located in the south of the island of Hvar, the Borče Green Lagoon is a beautiful bay in Croatia, among the best beauties of the Dalmatian coastal area. The colour of the sea is a shining green that will leave you breathless and the water is so transparent that you can already see the seabed with the naked eye. Enjoy the view of the Green Lagoon as you approach with the boat: the green reflections of the water meet the white of the Borče beach covered by a thick wooded area that makes it particularly fascinating. Don’t forget to take great photos of the Green Lagoon and, if you want, you can have fun throwing some bread into the sea: the fish will immediately come to greet you.
Dubovica Bay is located 8 km east of the town of Hvar and is a small but characteristic beach that can be reached mainly by boat. The special feature of Dubovica Bay is that it is located next to the beautiful country house of the Kasandric family, built between the 18th and 19th centuries. Dubovica bay is one of the most beautiful beaches in Hvar and is characterised by a pebble and small stone bottom. Its collected conformation keeps it sheltered from strong and rough seas, so it will be a pleasure to dive and swim in these waters. Next to Dubovica beach, there is a hidden cave with no entrances: one below sea level and one shallow. You can choose to visit the cave on foot or by diving. In this bay you will find a small restaurant and a bar almost camouflaged in the greenery of the place.
Among the things to see on the island of Hvar in Croatia are the Red Rocks. The name of this unmissable natural attraction comes from the colour of the limestone rocks, red in fact, which rise like a wall from the sea. If you look carefully, Hvar’s Red Rocks are centrally separated by a few vertical lines, which help to make the view very special. In the past the Red Rocks were very famous lobster fishing places in Croatia. On the right side of the most famous rocks of Hvar, there is a small cave with a pebble beach at the end. On the left side, on the other hand, the Red Rocks climb from sea level up to a height of 15 meters : they are ideal for cliff jumping enthusiasts. Once you are here, while you are taking a picture and admiring the scenery, we recommend swimming and snorkelling in front of the Red Rocks, because you might be really amazed b y the uniqueness of what’s around you.
If you are in Hvar you can’t have missed the Pakleni islands (or Spalmadori islands in italiano). The Pakleni islands are a group of islands (20 islands and islets) situated in front of the island of Hvar and characterised by a crystal clear sea that makes them a true natural paradise. Their name, Pakleni, comes from the word “paklini”, a pine resin that was used in shipbuilding. The Spalmadori islands are distributed in the Hvar archipelago and have the peculiarity of being all wooded, some of them even untouched and never uninhabited . Due to their strategic position, the Pakleni (or Spalmadori) islands have hosted many civilisations: from the Roman one of the II century b.C., to the Venetian domination (here in fact a violent battle between Venetians and Turks took place), until the Austrian power that here saw its arm red frigate sink in 1869. Still today the Spalmadori or Pakleni islands remain a coveted destination, while maintaining the characteristic of untouched islands. Admire the landscape of the Pakleni islands with a boat tour from Hvar, take beautiful pictures of the green beaches, swim and snorkel in these fauna-filled waters are truly unique experiences.
Palmižana bay is one of the most popular destinations for tourists coming to Croatia. Here you will have free time to explore the island of Palmižana, discovering beautiful nature trails, or stop and enjoy the scenery while sipping a drink at the Laganini lounge bar, or eating something in the restaurants on the beach. Do you want to know what to do at Palmižana bay? Relax and breathe nature: you are in the Pakleni islands. If you prefer, you can simply lie in the shade of the pine trees that cover this island and swim in its crystal clear sea.
Mlini beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the Pakleni islands, along with Palmižana bay. Mlini beach is located on the island of Zdrilca, which is also covered by a thick pine forest like most of the islands in the Hvar archipelago in Croatia. You will also appreciate the crystal clear water and peace of this place: enjoy a dip in this wonder before returning to Hear and admire all the beauty of the Pakleni islands at sunset.
The itinerary varies according to sea and weather conditions. For your safety on board, the captain will decide the best route to take every day by evaluating the sea and wind conditions.
Yes, in case of bad weather/sea conditions the tour might be cancelled. In case of cancellation we are happy to offer our customers the choice of an alternative date or, in case of inability to rebook, the full refund.
Excellent time organization, punctual departure and return times, breathtaking places and a very professional crew! What more could you ask for? Highly recommend.

My husband and I have chosen Croatia this year to spend the summer holidays and we have chosen twice to tour with youKnow! We were satisfied both times: red Rocks on a speedboat and sunset on a sailboat! Awesome.
