Surrounded by crystal clear waters and peaceful, almost-deserted bays, Lobos is the perfect place to spend a relaxing day on a boat. In 4 hours, with this boat tour from Corralejo, you will sail around the island of Lobos with an experienced skipper and a very small group of passengers for maximum privacy and comfort. Enjoy stops for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and SUP, as well as a light lunch with snacks and drinks offered on board.
Program of the sailing trip to Lobos island with lunch:
Meet 15 minutes before the departure time at the meeting point at the port of Corralejo, in front of Municipal Nautical School. Here you will meet the crew and board a comfortable 12m sailing boat.
We will set sail for the island of Lobos, passing through the Bocaina, a five-kilometer sea strait that separates Lanzarote from Fuerteventura, and right at the center of this channel lies the volcanic island of Lobos. With a depth of no more than 10 meters, the strait offers the perfect conditions for sailing around the coast of Lobos.
Once in Lobos, we’ll start sailing around the island to admire the main attractions along the coast, such as the Caldera, an ancient semi-submerged volcano that represents the highest point of the island, or the Martiño lighthouse, whose guardian Antoñito el Farero was the first inhabitant of the island, or El Puertito, the small port of the island.
Then, we will stop for a while in one of the protected bays in the south of the island: enjoy the sea and the surrounding landscape and don’t miss the chance to dive in these turquoise waters and snorkel, go kayaking and SUP, with all the equipment provided on board. Meanwhile, the crew will prepare snacks for a tasty lunch to be enjoyed on the boat.
At the end of the boat trip, around 2:00pm or 6:00pm, you will return to the port of Corralejo.

Fuerteventura is one of the largest islands in the Canary archipelago, second only to Tenerife. If you're wondering what to see in Fuerteventura, you should know that this island is known as "the slow island" because of its calm and relaxed pace. Its landscape, closest to the African coast among the Canary Islands, is desert-like, and its nature is unspoiled. For this reason, in Fuerteventura we recommend focusing mainly on nature, exploring its stunning landscapes, dreamy beaches, and enjoying a variety of water sports. Among the top things to see in Fuerteventura, we suggest setting aside half a day to discover Lobos Island, named in honor of the colony of sea lions (Lobo Marino) that once had its natural habitat on the island.
Lobos Island is a stunning natural and uninhabited island located about twenty minutes from Fuerteventura, a true haven of protected natural species. With this tour, you can reach Lobos Island from the port of Corralejo aboard a sailing boat and enjoy the island’s unique coastline in complete privacy, stopping in the most beautiful bays and capturing the most scenic spots with your camera. The alternative to reach the island is by ferry, but this requires obtaining a permit in advance to visit Lobos and walk around the uninhabited island. For your comfort, we recommend booking a private boat tour.
Once you reach the island, you’ll be able to admire the Caldera, a beautiful semi-submerged volcano, and photograph from the sea the famous Faro de Marino, the island’s main structure, as well as the Puertito, the small harbor of the island. During this boat tour to Lobos Island, we’ll stop in one of the protected bays on the southern side of the island to enjoy the sea and the landscape. Here, you can dive into turquoise waters and enjoy snorkeling, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) with all the equipment provided on board, while the crew prepares a seaside lunch.
A trip to Fuerteventura means a holiday spent exploring its most beautiful beaches. There are beaches for every taste: from black volcanic sands to stunning stretches of golden beach. In general, the beaches in the north of Fuerteventura are windier and therefore perfect for surf lovers, while the south is dominated by colorful kite sails. Among the most beautiful beaches in Fuerteventura are Playa de Jandía, located near the famous Sotavento Beach, and Playa de Cofete, which is usually more sheltered from the wind.
One of the most convenient ways to explore the island of Fuerteventura is by car. There are many car rental companies available, and you can also rent a vehicle directly upon arrival at the airport. For the more active travelers, it’s also possible to explore Fuerteventura by bicycle, discovering the many dark trails that crisscross the island.
Fuerteventura is one of the Canary Islands and is easily accessible by plane. On the eastern side of the island, in El Matorral (just a few kilometers from Puerto del Rosario), you'll find the island’s only airport: Fuerteventura Airport.
If you're wondering what to eat in Fuerteventura, keep in mind that you're on a Canary Island, a Spanish island located very close to Africa. That’s why the typical dishes in Fuerteventura have a distinctly exotic flavor, with Spanish, Italian, and African influences. Beyond the classic Spanish paella, you’ll find specialties like papas arrugadas con mojo picón (boiled potatoes with a mildly spicy sauce), majorero cheese (a local goat cheese), goat stew, sacochoco canario (a local fish similar to grouper), and for dessert, huevos mole.
The excursion from Fuerteventura to Lobos Island is carried out on a very comfortable sailing boat, fully eco-friendly and capable of safely and privately accommodating 6 people on board.
Yes, the excursion includes a stop in a protected bay where you can relax, swim, go snorkeling, try stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) or kayaking, while lunch is being prepared on board.
The experience lasts about 4 hours, during which you’ll see the famous Lobos Island, swim in a protected bay, and enjoy lunch with typical local products aboard a sailing boat.
